Sanyou's Page
This page is for my opinions and the other staff's on hide's death. We do not know for a fact whether it was suicide or an accident, but we do have our strong beliefs.
Sanyou: I get tired of people who think hide killed himself. "Because of a song, it must be suicide, I mean, look at the translation!" Yeah, well....
From 'Electric Cucumber' you can tell that he was really perverted. Does that mean "KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AWAY FROM HIM, HE WILL RAPE THEM!"? Uh, no, he was AMAZING with children (go check out his profile.) And then 'LEMONed I Scream' doesn't even make any sense. >< Look at the lyrics of all his songs, do any of them make sense? Or relate to his life? Maybe in some weird way. But remember, 'Pink Spider' is a song, just like any of those, that's as simple as it gets. Another thing, 'Drink Or Die', I KNOW he'd rather drink than die.
Plus, he had MANY great plans. Getting X back together, crazy fun stuff with ZILCH, plans for LEMONed. He was keeping in touch with a sick girl he met, do would he just drop her like that? Naw. Which leads into his role model-ism. He donated blood and bone marrow, yes? He was always trying to be an example for the Japanese youth. Is suicide a very good example?
And there's alway the X Japan reason of hanging towels around their necks to relieve stress. Or the one where he might of been trying to do something ridiculous like he often does (don't get me wrong, but you can't deny it, he did silly things,) perhaps pretend the door was his owner but he was too drunk, hence, strangling himself. This is not just directed towards hide, but every human likes to do something silly, especially when they're alone.
Another guess, he had an eye problem, and some how ended up strangling himself. Perhaps he slipped on something he didn't see. (Notice how he always squints in 'Pink Spider')
So, stab me now for being ignorant to suicide, or, is it really the suicide followers who are ignorant to the fact that there are PLENTY of other explanations?
NovemberRain: You told me about this before and I think it's horrid. hide wouldn't do that. Like you said, he had plans with his life and wouldn't want to throw it away. Plus all the good singers sing about hating life and suicide. Ever heard of My Chemical Romance? I highly doubt any of them would go killing themselves. When they die, none will be blamed for suicide.

Pheo: As interesting as the hide suicide was, or rather the "hide accident" as it likely was, it's not as interesting as some other musical "suicides".
Read up on the Cobain death. There's a possibility of a conspiracy involving his wife having him killed, and more there were more attempted suicides when he died.

Plus, there's only so much someone can learn about the hide death before it's left up to speculation. As far as the Cobain death goes, there's much more to be learned.
Sanyou: Eh, Phee-Sama, can you give a REALLY good reason why it would NOT be suicide? ******(name starred for protection) still believes in the suicide...
Pheo: He was still rising as a star, he has no recorded psychosis or clinical depression, he was in the middle of a tour, he was planning another album or two.
Oh, and most importantly he and Yoshiki were secretly planning to FUCKING REVIVE X JAPAN IN 2000!
Sanyou: She's not convinced. *kills ignorance
Pheo: What evidence does she have that it was a suicide?
Sanyou: "What proof do you have that he wasn't depressed?"
"It could be possible that he drank so much that he... Expressed his "true" feelings or something? I don't know. Honestly... I could care less about hide but Sam is pestering me to say why I should say why he didn't commit suicide."
Pheo: Tell her hide was noticed as being a "happy drunk"(hell, he and Yoshiki became good friends over drinking), and if you don't care, then refuse to speak on the matter, or is Sam putting a gun to your head demanding an answer?
I doubt a 13 year old can force anyone to do much of anything.
Sanyou: "As for the fact... I've got nothing against hide just think he committed suicide, or perhaps an accident in too much alcohol. = ="
